Hi! Welcome to my Vance Outdoors: Off The Trail blog.
My name is Mindy. I am an avid outdoorswoman located in the heart of Ohio. I started hunting and fishing at a very young age and have loved the outdoors ever since. I have many fond memories with my family and the traditions that they helped me to experience. I take full advantage of any time in the outdoors I can get. Being a mother of three, my time can be limited. However, I try to get my girls out as often as possible to experience the wonder the outdoors has to offer. As a family, we love to hike, fish, kayak, and travel.
I enjoy deer season and filling up our freezer to feed the family year-round. I'm also an avid gardener and like to grow as much food for the family as possible. The field-to-table method is really my favorite, and it makes me a necessity in our family. I love being able to grow/kill and then prepare and cook our meals. I have to thank my family for all they have taught me over the years. I really was lucky to have so many wonderful people teach me how to be self-reliant and enjoy the outdoors as they are meant to be.
