Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, and the second leading cause of death among women. The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. defines breast cancer as "A disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast." Every year, an estimated 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with this vicious disease, 40,000 of which will die. Although breast cancer is an aggressive disease, there has been a steady reduction in female breast cancer cases among women aged 50 years and older, and early detection has seen a decline in overall breast cancer deaths since the early 90's.
Target shooting is not only a great hobby, but it can also help individuals in many ways. It serves as a great stress reliever, or can prepare you for potentially dangerous situations. Either way, one can only benefit from shooting a gun.
That being said, we've decided to raise the bar, and take target shooting a step further. This Saturday, May 16th, we're "Taking Aim At Breast Cancer". For every shooting lane rented on this day, $5 will be donated to aid the fight against breast cancer, an invasive disease affecting 1 in 8 women. Alongside lane donations, a portion of the proceeds from targets purchased will also be donated.
Come be a part of this amazing movement, and help us continue the fight against breast cancer.
