Handgun: Red Dot

Prerequisite: Gun handling experience like a Concealed Handgun License Class, Introduction to Handguns, or equivalent training.

This is the second step in the Vance Outdoors Handgun Series.

Handgun Red Dot introduces you to concepts and application of the pistol mounted optic. Fundamentals of pistol shooting when the sighting system, sight picture and presentation have changed, acquiring the red dot, and adding speed and confidence in your pistol skills. This course also introduces techniques to keep you on target if the optic fails. Whether you have been running a pistol mounted optic or are considering one, this course will develop or enhance your skills and confidence.

Equipment (gear) required: a pistol with a red dot optic (mounted and zeroed, private lessons are available in advance of the class upon request) a minimum of three (3) magazines, a strong side holster, spare magazine carrier and a sturdy belt.
