Have you ever thought about taking an AR Rifle class but didn't know where to start? This Class is designed to instruct you on the fundamentals of AR Rifle shooting that our other classes will build upon.
The Vance Outdoors Introduction to AR Rifle Course consists of 3 hours of classroom instruction, and 1 hour of range time, where you will have the opportunity to put the skills taught in the classroom to practical use. This is an entry-level class for the novice/beginner to become familiarized with their Rifle and safe gun handling. All the following will be discussed and demonstrated and experienced:
Safe Gun Handling Rules
- Proper terms and nomenclature of an AR Rifle
- Differences in ammo and the purpose of each
- Proper shooting grip.
- Proper sight alignment and sight picture.
- Proper trigger control.
- Proper shooting position
- How to safely load and unload the Rifle
Although this class is taught by NRA Certified Instructors, it is not an NRA Certified class. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a Vance Outdoors Certificate of Completion, signed by your instructor and the Vance Outdoors Training Coordinator.
Course Requirements: Students will need a reliable pistol, eye and ear protection, and 50 rounds of ammunition.
