New for 2020, Taurus expands its noted G-Series line of polymer-frame, striker-fired pistols with the next-generation G3c compact 9mm.

In planning the newest model in the G - series of compact handguns, Taurus engineers were guided by two key objectives: retain and refine the key attributes which have made the G2c so popular with shooters and everyday carry practitioners while integrating new features designed to enhance overall performa nce, durability, and customization potential. The new G3c delivers on all fronts.

The G3c upgrades begin with the slide. The standard rear serrations are now accompanied by serrations at the front of the slide to provide a more tactile surface area for more positive grip. This makes slide manipulation and press checks easier regardless of operating style or hand size. A visual chamber indicator replaces the mechanical indicator found on the G2c, reducing parts and streamlining the slide profile.

To provide longer wear resistance and better corrosion protection from environmental conditions, the G3c slide is treated with a proven Tenifer finish. The Tenifer finish delivers more robust surface integrity to minimize scuffing and maximize corrosion resistance.

Standard on the G3c are all-steel front and rear sights (instead of the polymer sights included on the G2c) that are designed to withstand the rigors of daily carry. The rear sight is serrated to reduce glare and quicken sight picture acquisition, while drift adjustability allows the shooter to fine-tune the point-of-impact.

All these features continue with the new G3c model but with an added performance upgrade. Scallops are now included with G3c magazine extension. These are designed to assist in tactical magazine changes should dust or grit prevent the magazine from dropping freely when depressing the mag release.

Speaking of the magazines, the G3c comes standard with three 12-round magazines. 15 & 17 round magazines will also be available for customers who desire even higher capacity.

Good afternoon. I just wanted to reach out and personally thank you all for the amazing customer service and fantastic shopping experience I have every time I go to Vance. I live in Zanesville. There are plenty of gun stores here. I drive to Vance because of the way Im treated and the consistent positive experience I have shopping in your store. Natalie sold me my Taurus G3C today, and she did an excellent job as usual. Thank you Natalie! And thank you Vance! Please keep up the great work you all do! See you again soon! - MikeDS

(5 out of 5) Friendly service and a firearm worth twice the price
by from Columbus, OH on

The people at the Obetz location were a pleasure to work with, especially at the range where I did a T&E. The G3c is a great CCW, and easily compares to a Glock G19 at a much lower cost. Comfortable to shoot and a great first firearm for new shooters. The magazines were a bit sticky at first but loosened up with use. Very little recoil for a 3-inch barrel. I have always been a you get what you pay for guy, but this firearm really surprised me. I think that I would purchase it at twice the price.

(5 out of 5) Reliable
by from Trenton, Ohio on

I purchased the Taurus G3c in mid 2020 and I wasnt really sure what to expect, I still have this firearm in my collection. In my opinion its a reliable and all around excellent firearm. I dont know the exact round count thats been through it but I do know that I have never an issue with it. Its easy to disassemble and reassemble which makes the cleaning process a breeze. Bottom line is that I'm very happy that I purchased this firearm and customer service is outstanding.

(5 out of 5) Excellent Firearm
by from Cincinnati, OH on

The Taurus G3C is an unbelievable firearm for the price. I have done extensive comparisons between the G3C and G2C compared to the SIG P320 and S&W Shield 2.0. The Taurus fires true and flawlessly. Not a single jam using steel case, reloads, quality brass, or 115gr and 147gr HPs after firing about 500rds total. The Shield jammed about every 5th shot. The SIG only performed when using quality brass.

(5 out of 5) Great gun to own.

Smaller than my Smith & Wesson 9606. Great grip. Put 110 rounds through it the day after I bought it. Lots of bullseyes. Just had to learn my problems with firing. Will be my every day carry.
