The idea for Yukon Outfitters began in the spring of 2009, during a rainy day on a fly fishing trip. One of the founders forgot his rain jacket at an airport, and was forced to buy one from a field guide at a hunt camp on the Big Salmon River. Fast forward, and with a sewing machine purchased at a yard sale, along with a blow torch in the garage, the original founders created their vision of the perfect kind of gear.
