When fishing with a jig head rigged with a soft bait lure the fish some times bite or nipple at the tail of the lure, without getting hooked. Rigging an extra hook at the rear of the lure makes all the difference. The Lure Ryder hook is very light and doesn’t interfere with the movement of the soft plastic lure tails, but is dramatically increasing your catches!

Rigging it is easy:

Tie Thor Fluorocarbon monofilament line to the jig hook shank, close to the eye. Then mount the hook with a single sleeve, Mustad Ref. 77260. Using the sleeve makes it easier to adjust the leader length and then position the Lure Ryder hook properly. Insert the short front hook-bend into the soft plastic lure leaving the two hook points facing upwards. Finish by crimping the sleeve to secure the rig. Mustad's Wire Technology and Nor-Tempering Process means that hooks are lighter and up to 30% stronger. The “MTL-V1” point combines a more efficient point design with a new sharpening process to enhance the quality. The result is a sharper, sleek new point shape with penetration resistance 50% lower than standard Classic Hook points! Black nickel finish.
