Vance Outdoors Training NRA SHOTGUN INSTRUCTOR

This course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching The NRA’s Basics of Shotgun Shooting (BOSGS) course.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the NRA BOSGS course, scoring a minimum of 90% on the written test, and possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills. The first day of the course the instructor candidates complete a “Pre-Course Questionnaire” and a “Pre-Course Qualification” to demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises.

During this course instructor candidate students demonstrate their knowledge of general firearms safety, shotguns, shotgun handling and shotgun shooting fundamentals, and will complete a live fire Instructor Level qualification shoot and a written instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, and the NRA Shotgun Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet.
