Don’t shoot out of the box; clean and lube it first. I had nothing but cycling issues on the first trip out, either because of this or because it just needed to break in. However, 45 patches later, it was clean and working like a champ. I’ve put 200 rounds through it so far. I’ve only used .223, but there were no issues after some TLC. It’s light, it’s accurate, and as a second AR, it’s well worth it, especially as this is just a range gun. I really like that hand guard. Some points of interest: the manual states no hand loads and no steel. The stock has a setting where you can pull the butt off and expose the buffer tube, which no one likes. I have not rapid-fired this, mainly because I can see heat being a potential enemy of the gun, and I’m not made of money. After throwing 3 rounds at a time, the barrel was hot with no play in the barrel or the stock. I did notice it dented the ejected cases, though maybe it’s just mine. Both PMC and AE 55g rounds fired fine, but I fired one steel Tula round, and it failed to eject. The case was swollen and seized, breaking the rim off after a few attempts, which ended an already frustrating first day. I needed to clear it with a rod once home. I only put leftover sights on it and use it to enjoy the irons.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Was I questioning the polymer upper 100%? Yes, but how the gun has performed just fine, barring day one, I’m getting way more confident in it. P.S. The takedown pins require a light punch, and I’ve been very careful with mine after watching videos of them breaking through the detent. Three weeks in with this, I’d consider it a great outcome so far. I did my research in advance and knew roughly what to expect. I hope this rifle lasts; time will tell. I am, however, optimistic.
