Great hand gun. Why spend $1000 when this pistol will do as good as any handgun out there? This company is going to be very popular.
Vance Outdoors had these in an after-Christmas sale for $190 (MSRP $399). I have not shot it yet but the pistol is hefty, which should make it nice to shoot. Feels substantial and, for me, is naturally pointing. Adjustable front and rear
3-dot sights. I like the front dot being red. Two metal 16 round mags, two extra rear grip panels, cleaning tools, oil, mag loader, hard plastic case - lots of extras. Easy takedown. I plan to add a light on the rail under the frame and to use this firearm for home defense. I watched a number of video reviews prior to making my decision to buy. I don't see how I could go wrong on this one. Buffalo Cartridge made this a nice total package.
First off, I'm a fan of the Springfield XD9! I love my Springfield but, side by side, this gun is better. The trigger is flat faced and the sights are easier to get on target. It definitely runs better out of the box. It is a night and day difference when you shoot the XD and then this. I'm very happy with the purchase. I ran 250 rounds through it the day I got it and it ran flawless. I have put about 600 through it now and I can say I'd trust my life on it. Extremely reliable, never jams or fails to feed. The magazines work in the XD and vise versa. All the internal components seem to be exactly the same.
This pistol is a good buy. I have the Springfield XD 4" service. It will even run the mags from my XD. Very accurate and no feed issues.
I saw videos about the BRG9, I found it at Vance Outdoors in Lebanon, Ohio. The staff was friendly, and I couldn't believe the price and the quality of this firearm. I'm looking forward to shooting it soon.
The first 200 rounds through it were flawless at rapid fire and accurate. A steal at this price. The importer, Buffalo Cartridge Co. Findlay, OH, picked a gem of a firearm out of Turkey.
This is an XD clone. The pistol fires as fast as you can pull the trigger. You should buy one or more.
Bought this for $189 after reading good reviews and wanted to give it a shot. Have shot 10k+ rounds through Glocks and have a bit of a bias toward them. So any new gun is a learning curve as far as hand positioning, finding the sight picture, etc. With that said, I am highly impressed with the BRG 9 Elite. It is a heavier gun than the average Glock, but it feels great in the hand. Follow up shots seem to be easier due to the heavier muzzle end. The trigger is on par with most higher dollar handguns, but with a more comfortable flat front design. I have run 600 rounds through it so far and this is what I have experienced: 1) Fail to eject on the second mag through the gun likely as a result of user error playing around with hand positioning and what not this was right out of the box no cleaning. Cleaned it after the first few mags.
2) Hundreds of rounds of varying brands without any issues.
3) Tried aluminum cased rounds and experienced a fail to eject. The casing is softer and had a noticeable imprint. This was followed by numerous fail to feeds when charging the gun by both the slide release only and by using two hands. Found small chunks of aluminum casing throughout the gun. After a thorough cleaning to remove the chunks, it has run brass casings without fail.
First time using aluminum casings in any handgun and likely will avoid in the future.
Outside of the issues with the aluminum cased rounds it has been nearly flawless. The sights are good but could be improved. Limited options on holsters; however, Alien gear has a few dedicated options that do well. Will fit XD 9 16 round mags.
Only downside is, again preference, the slick grip. This can easily be improved upon with grip tape.
Overall, it is a solid gun that I have begun to really like and somewhat prefer over others. Glock will always be the go-to due to the amount of experience and familiarity, but I would put this BRG up against it no problem.
Can't wait for the 2.0 models to come out they look even better.
I bought this on the 1/22/23. Didn't get a chance to go out with it until 1/29/23. I haven't had any trigger time in a couple of years. I can honestly say that I'm not disappointed and I will only get better with it with more time.
