I looked for this gun and Vance Outdoors had the best price. I had them ship to my local FFL an it arrived quickly. 

The gun is a great shooter. I actually prefer this one to my full size TX22 Gen 2 TORO. Put a Holding 407k red dot on it. That mounted right to the slide without any adapter plates. Once sighted in, it holds a zero and runs great. Gun has no issues with CCI or Aguila 40gr solid points. I haven’t tried any other ammo. Already put about 2,000 rounds through it. I clean after every range trip. This can hold the 16 round magazines from the bigger TX22. Fun gun to run.

I’ve had several 22’s over time. All were ammo picky and had the occasional misfire. It’s the nature of rimfire. The worst misfired 30% of the time. But the TX22 Compact is AMAZING!!! I took it straight from Vance Outdoors to the nearest range and, without cleaning, loaded it up and fired off 300 rounds. I used cheap $3/50 up to $6/50. Aguila 36 grain to CCI MINI MAG 40 grain. Zero misfires. Zero jams. It’s the very best 22 I’ve ever had.
